Is the USA a socialist country because its government has a monopoly on supplying bank reserves and a monopoly on the currency in circulation? Is the government's monopoly on currency; in actuality, control over the resources of the country (i.e. the money which produces goods). Wouldn’t a country’s microcode be capitalist if it had free banking? Wouldn’t a country’s microcode be socialist if it doesn't have free banking? Wouldn't a country's foundations be an important factor in determining its ideology? Is it possible for a country to be in denial about its ideology or in the closet?
