If Kyle Doesn't Walk, All Bets For Rule Of Law Are Off
The major problem with the left/liberal view of things these days, is that they don't care about the law or facts. They care about their feelings and think that breaking laws or ignoring facts is justified based on how things make them feel.
Kyle Rittenhouse broke no laws. First, they said he crossed state lines with a gun. He didn't. They say he wasn't allowed to have his gun, he was allowed. They say he had no right to be there, well, he had as much right as anyone to be there - maybe more of a right because that is HIS neighborhood where his friends, family, and coworkers live.
Those three points were the basis of their whole argument against the plea of self-defense, and every one of them has now been disproven... So then what do they do?
They say he's a white supremacist who shot 3 black people. This is false. He is not a white supremacist, there is no evidence to suggest that he is, and he shot 3 WHITE people.
Then they say "he shot peaceful protesters," He did not. He shot members of a violent mob that were actively engaged in rioting, each with their colorful criminal records, and even then didn't shoot anyone who didn't directly attack him and threaten his life.
They say it was illegal that he killed people for any reason - wrong. It is the law that you can use deadly force if you have a reasonable belief that someone is posing a direct threat to your life.
The whole incident was caught on multiple videos from several angles. We all see what happened. He was ATTACKED. He tried to run and they chased him! Only when he was cornered or lost his stance did he shoot - and at the last split second to thwart an incoming attack.
They say that his presence of being there with a gun 'provoked these people.' WHO CARES?! He's ALLOWED to be there. He has a RIGHT to open carry his gun. Being provoked doesn't give anyone the right to attack someone... and I'm sure the fact that these people were there burning up his hood provoked them to be there in the first place.
It's been confirmed by overwhelming evidence. Kyle did nothing illegal. NOTHING. The left side of this argument just doesn't like him. They are upset that someone disagreed with them to the point of standing up to them, and they KNOW DAMN WELL that he didn't break the law - but that doesn't matter because they don't like the laws. They are justified in breaking the laws because they feel like it.
The rioters broke the law too! The guy who pulled a gun on Kyle actually WAS breaking the law by having an illegally owned, illegally concealed weapon, and no says a god-damned thing about that. Why?
Had Kyle hesitated to pull the trigger, things could have gone a different way, and then Kyle would have been the one to get shot, and I GUARANTEE YOU that the left would come out and defend their guy with the gun because they don't care about the law, they don't care about the truth, they don't care about the facts, all they care about are their own ideas of moral superiority, their own feelings about shit, and their own egos to win a political argument.
They'll gaslight, lie, and trample over anything or anyone to that end, as we have seen plenty of examples of over the last couple of years. We've seen plenty of examples of this in the way the prosecution BROKE THE LAW MANY TIMES in this trial, falsifying evidence, asking witnesses to change their testimony, attacking 5th amendment rights, withholding crucial evidence from the defense...
That's all ok though. It's justified because 'BLM orange man bad' or something.
The idiot prosecution points a gun at the jury with his finger on the trigger and that's fine, just like it was fine when leftoid Alec Baldwin did the same thing and killed someone... Then these idiots who know nothing about guns or how to handle them responsibly will be the first to tell you that you aren't allowed to have one!
They sight the moral dilemma of letting kyle walk after causing 3 deaths regardless of the context, yet not one time - NOT ONE TIME have I heard anyone to the left of this argument come out and even acknowledge the death toll that racked up over the course of these riots.
That number is officially at 25 deaths and climbing if you care.
Hypocrites! all of them - dishonest, disingenuous, duplicative hypocrites!
And the worst part... the worst part of ALL of it, is that there are angry, leftoid mobs on standby right now, threatening the jury with violence and rioting if they don't deliver the verdict that they wanna hear based on their sense of self-important moral authoritarianism... which if allowed to happen, is the literal DEATH of our justice system. It is the end of a society that is ruled by law, and the beginning of MOB RULE.
This situation is a powder keg waiting to go off, and it could get bad. So my message to anyone out there who thinks that this teenager should go to jail for the rest of his life - not because he broke the law as the law is written - but because you just don't like what he stands for... YOU need to decide right now and pick one or the other:
Are we a country that is governed by rule of law, or are we a country that is governed by mob rule and the court of public opinion?
Pick one and stick with it. You don't get to uphold the law where it suits you and break it when it doesn't. Pick one right now and be ready to defend it...
because if Kyle doesn't walk, the justice system has completely failed, and it's everyone for themselves. If Kyle does walk, maybe we all need to dust ourselves off from the tragedy and think about some things, but at least there is still a goddamned legal system that attempts to follow its own laws still in place.
Ya know what? I'm fine with either. Believe it or not, those laws are what's protecting your rioters right now more than it's protecting the resistance. Those laws are what is being weaponized against people who simply want to be left the fuck alone, so if all bets are off and you wanna get rid of it, be ready for the can of worms that will follow.
SPOILER ALERT: those odds wouldn't be in your favor.
