As freakish and dystopian as this proposal is, I am in no way worried about such a thing happening. Hell, if the communistically inclined elements of the government keep up this level of ass-blasted threats against populistic people, I’m willing to be they won’t even win the 2024 election, possibly well beyond that. As I’ve said before, it’s much less about liberal verses conservative conventions at this point as it is about authoritarian verses libertarian. Thankfully, more and more people are beginning to see that the Rs and the Ds after an official’s name have become more and more meaningless. Hell, republicans have nearly as much blame at their feet for obstructing Trump and the democrats do.

When the powers that be start talking about punishing people who stand in there way, that is a huge tell that they are rattled and degenerated. Strong men are men of action. The weak are all talk.

Despite the establishment’s constant haranguing about Trump’s approval rating, theirs is far worse. Trust in the media has cratered since 2016 and it was already low then. What makes this Robert Reich – ironic name, by the way – think that anybody but the most whipped and controlled people will take the words and deliberations of this real-life Ministry of Truth seriously? They wouldn’t.

But it isn’t enough for them to simply win by whatever means and take power, it’s about reworking things to make accessing power impossible for anyone who isn’t in league with them. Anyone who wants to change the rules to a game they can’t win is not even fit to be playing it to begin with. If this Mr. Reich and his buddies put half as much time into political strategy as they do into revenge porn fantasies, maybe they wouldn’t need to daydream in the first damn place.
