As we would expect if professionals were able to openly express their views without being afraid of professional intimidation from their public employers, we'd hear this from more both in the US, Canada, Europe and elsewhere:

"Maxime Ouimet resigned from his position as a Quebec police officer after feeling conflicted about the overreaching government restrictions he was being told to enforce.

Maxime had proudly served his community for over 12 years. But after being asked to enforce draconian COVID-19 pandemic laws — that now include the ability to obtain “telewarrants” to make it easier to enter homes to enforce lockdowns — Maxime could no longer ignore his conscience.

He quit — and is now speaking out against the COVID-19 hysteria that has taken over our country.

As a police officer, Maxime spent a lot of time at hospitals and quickly noticed that what he heard in the media and from his government did not reflect what he saw. "
