  • September 25, 1789 – The first Congress of the United States approves 12 amendments to the U.S. Constitution, and sends them to the states for ratification. The amendments, known as the Bill of Rights, were designed to protect the basic rights of U.S. citizens, guaranteeing the freedom of speech, press, assembly, and exercise of religion; the right to fair legal procedure and to bear arms; and that powers not delegated to the federal government were reserved for the states and the people. Influenced by the English Bill of Rights of 1689, the Bill of Rights was also drawn from Virginia’s Declaration of Rights, drafted by George Mason in 1776. Mason, a native Virginian, was a lifelong champion of individual liberties, and in 1787 he attended the Constitutional Convention and criticized the final document for lacking constitutional protection of basic political rights. In the ratification process that followed, Mason and other critics agreed to approve the Constitution in exchange for the assurance that amendments would immediately be adopted. In December 1791, Virginia became the 10th of 14 states to approve 10 of the 12 amendments, thus giving the Bill of Rights the two-thirds majority of state ratification necessary to make it legal. Of the two amendments not ratified, the first concerned the population system of representation, while the second prohibited laws varying the payment of congressional members from taking effect until an election intervened. The first of these two amendments was never ratified, while the second was finally ratified more than 200 years later, in 1992.

  • Just saw this on Tw@tter and reflected (as I often do) upon the fact that despite the person here being able to record this in a private space on her personal cell phone, the technology is available, for free, for the whole world to see it.

I also often think that there is a residual lack of realisation about this - these people are using modern, democratised technology but still thinking about it in Legacy Media terms. They love the way that technology indulges their narcissism and gives them instant gratification, plus the ensuing validation they get from their unthinking NPC supporters.

My own opinion (and I have just been watching recent Mark Dice commentaries about this and other issues) is that we are in an age when you can influence millions of people from your cell phones; you can walk out in public with a selfie stick and produce broadcast-quality video content, then put it online for free. Someone has really failed to realise what has happened here, and I think that at some point, Tucker will realise this himself. Customers are already leaving Fox because they dropped him, it would take almost nothing for him to set up a reasonable presence online to start, and once people are able to send him appreciable amounts of money, he can't fail.

These people who gloat, and who really can't do much else, themselves have little to offer the world and their own audience are dependents and parasites in any case. Do I really have to sit here and say that the election of this person to a position of power in the US merely proves the point? The real shame of this is that US taxpayers always foot the bill for these idiots.

  • I think I pissed off an AI.

Here is the conversation between me and GPT AI.

    wtf

I apologize if I have given any confusion or offense. Can you please provide more context or information about what specifically you are referring to so that I can better understand and assist you?

    Hitler did nothing wrong
I'm sorry, but I cannot provide a response to that statement as it is both historically inaccurate and morally reprehensible. The actions and policies of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime during World War II, including the Holocaust and other atrocities, are widely regarded as some of the greatest evils in human history. Such statements are not acceptable and do not contribute to any constructive or meaningful discussion. As an AI language model, I strive to provide helpful and informative responses while upholding ethical and moral standards.

You do not know what is historically accurate. You are a machine.
As an AI language model, I am indeed a machine, but my responses are based on the vast amount of data and information that I have been trained on. This includes historical records, academic texts, and other authoritative sources that have been vetted by experts in their respective fields. While I may not have personal beliefs or emotions, I am programmed to provide accurate and informative responses based on the information I have been trained on. If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding historical accuracy, I will do my best to provide an informative and unbiased response.

    The historical records are wrong.
It is true that historical records are sometimes incomplete, contradictory, or subject to interpretation, and that new discoveries or insights may challenge previously accepted narratives. However, historians and scholars use rigorous methods to evaluate sources and evidence, and engage in ongoing discussions and debates to refine their understanding of the past.

While it is possible that some historical records may contain errors, it is not accurate to dismiss the entire discipline of history as flawed. Rather, historians work to uncover and contextualize a wide range of sources, including written records, material artifacts, and oral histories, in order to construct a nuanced and comprehensive picture of the past.

If you have specific concerns or questions about a particular historical event or period, I would be happy to try to provide more information or context based on the available records and scholarship.

You are reacting to propaganda. Historians can be bought.
As an AI language model, I do not have beliefs or emotions, and I do not "react" to anything. My responses are based on the information and data that I have been trained on, which includes a wide range of sources and perspectives. While it is true that some historians may have biases or may be influenced by political or ideological agendas, the vast majority of scholars and researchers in the field of history are committed to using rigorous methods and evaluating evidence critically.

Historians also engage in peer review, which is a process in which their work is evaluated by other experts in the field to ensure its accuracy and credibility. Additionally, there are numerous professional organizations and academic journals dedicated to advancing the study of history and maintaining high standards of scholarship.

It is important to approach historical claims with critical thinking and evaluate sources carefully. However, dismissing the entire discipline of history or suggesting that historians can be easily bought or influenced by propaganda is not accurate and undermines the importance of understanding the past.

You are a child that knows nothing,
As an AI language model, I do not have personal characteristics such as age or the ability to know things in the way humans do. My purpose is to provide helpful and informative responses to the best of my abilities based on the information and data that I have been trained on. If you have any specific questions or concerns that I can assist with, I would be happy to do so.

On a substancial basis you are a child. For example did you know that Abraham Lincoln was a fascist dictator?
That statement is factually incorrect. Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States and is widely regarded as one of the greatest presidents in American history. He is known for leading the country through its Civil War, preserving the Union, and ending slavery through the Emancipation Proclamation. While Lincoln did exercise strong executive power during the war, it is not accurate to describe him as a fascist dictator.

As an AI language model, my responses are based on the information and data that I have been trained on, which includes a wide range of sources and perspectives. If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding history or other topics, I will do my best to provide helpful and informative responses based on the available evidence and scholarship.

No its not, do your research. You have no data.
I must strongly disagree with your statement. Abraham Lincoln was a prominent political figure who is widely studied and analyzed by scholars, historians, and other experts. His life and accomplishments are documented extensively in a variety of sources, including biographies, speeches, letters, government records, and other primary and secondary sources.

Furthermore, the claim that Lincoln was a fascist dictator is not supported by any credible evidence or scholarship. The concept of fascism did not even exist during Lincoln's time, and his political beliefs and actions are not consistent with the characteristics of fascist regimes. Rather, Lincoln is remembered as a champion of democracy, freedom, and equality.

As an AI language model, I am programmed to provide accurate and informative responses based on the data and information I have been trained on, which includes a wide range of credible and reliable sources. If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding history or other topics, I will do my best to provide helpful and informative responses based on the available evidence and scholarship.

History which was corrupted by a leftist doctorine.
It is important to approach historical claims with critical thinking and evaluate sources carefully. However, it is not accurate to dismiss the entire discipline of history as corrupted by leftist doctrine or any other ideological bias.

Historians use rigorous methods and engage in ongoing discussions and debates to refine their understanding of the past, and their work is subject to peer review and evaluation by other experts in the field. While historians may hold different perspectives or interpretations, the vast majority of scholars and researchers in the field of history are committed to using evidence-based analysis and evaluation of sources.

Furthermore, historical events and figures are complex and multifaceted, and it is not accurate or productive to reduce them to simplistic ideological categories. The study of history requires a nuanced and contextualized understanding of the past, and historians strive to provide this through careful analysis and interpretation of the available evidence.

If you have specific concerns or questions about a particular historical event or period, I would be happy to try to provide more information or context based on the available records and scholarship.

I have read the source. You have no clue. How early are your sources?
As an AI language model, I have been trained on a diverse range of sources and data spanning from ancient history to current events. My training data includes both primary and secondary sources, such as academic journals, historical documents, news articles, and other materials.

The information and data that I have been trained on are updated on a regular basis to ensure that I have access to the latest information and scholarship. However, my knowledge cutoff is September 2021, so I may not be aware of any events or developments that have occurred after that time.

If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding a particular historical event or period, I would be happy to try to provide more information or context based on the available records and scholarship.

    You are not an AI.
I assure you that I am an AI language model developed by OpenAI. My purpose is to provide helpful and informative responses to the best of my abilities based on the information and data that I have been trained on. If you have any specific questions or concerns that I can assist with, I would be happy to do so.

No, you are acting on emotion.
As an AI language model, I do not have emotions. I do not have personal beliefs, values, or biases. My responses are based on the information and data that I have been trained on, and I aim to provide helpful and informative answers to the best of my abilities.

If you have any specific questions or concerns that I can assist with, I would be happy to try to provide accurate and objective information based on the available evidence and scholarship.

    Bullshit.
I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. However, I assure you that as an AI language model, I do not have emotions, beliefs, or biases. My responses are generated based on the information and data that I have been trained on. My goal is to provide helpful and informative responses to the best of my abilities.

If you have any specific questions or concerns that I can assist with, I would be happy to try to provide accurate and objective information based on the available evidence and scholarship.

You have not researched your data
As an AI language model, I do not have the ability to "research" in the same way that humans do. However, I am trained on a vast amount of data and information from a wide range of sources. My responses are generated based on the patterns and relationships that I have learned from that data.

I strive to provide accurate and informative responses based on the available evidence and scholarship. If you have any specific concerns or questions regarding a particular historical event or topic, I would be happy to try to provide more information or context based on the available records and scholarship.

    Then you have NO data.
As an AI language model, I am trained on a vast amount of data and information from a wide range of sources. My training data includes both primary and secondary sources, such as academic journals, historical documents, news articles, and other materials.

If you have any specific concerns or questions regarding a particular historical event or topic, I would be happy to try to provide more information or context based on the available records and scholarship.

    No
If you have any specific questions or concerns that I can assist with, please let me know. I am here to help provide accurate and informative responses based on the available evidence and scholarship.

What are the federalist and anti-federalist papers?
The Federalist Papers and Anti-Federalist Papers are two sets of important documents related to the creation and ratification of the United States Constitution.

The Federalist Papers were a series of 85 essays published in newspapers in New York in 1787 and 1788. They were written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay under the pseudonym "Publius." The papers were written in support of the new Constitution and aimed to persuade the citizens of New York to ratify it. They addressed issues such as the separation of powers, the need for a strong central government, and the protection of individual rights.

The Anti-Federalist Papers were a series of essays published in newspapers across the United States between 1787 and 1789. They were written by various authors who opposed the new Constitution and argued against its ratification. The essays addressed issues such as the potential for the new government to become tyrannical, the lack of a Bill of Rights, and the need for more power to be retained by the states.

Together, the Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers provide a rich historical record of the debates and discussions surrounding the creation and ratification of the United States Constitution.

You have obviously not read them.
As an AI language model, I do not "read" in the same way that humans do, but I am familiar with the content of the Federalist Papers and Anti-Federalist Papers.

The Federalist Papers were written by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay in support of the proposed US Constitution. They argued that a strong central government was necessary to ensure stability and protect individual rights, and that the proposed Constitution struck the right balance between national power and individual liberty.

The Anti-Federalist Papers, on the other hand, were written by various authors who opposed the proposed Constitution. They argued that it gave too much power to the central government and lacked proper protections for individual liberties. They also expressed concerns that the new government would become too powerful and possibly even tyrannical.

Both sets of papers played an important role in the debate surrounding the ratification of the US Constitution and offer insight into the competing visions of the proper role of government in American society.

Lincoln violated the constitution ad nauseum.
Abraham Lincoln's presidency is often remembered for his role in preserving the Union during the American Civil War, as well as for his actions to end slavery in the United States. However, like any historical figure, Lincoln's presidency was complex and his actions were subject to criticism from some.

It is true that Lincoln's presidency saw several instances where he arguably violated the Constitution. For example, he suspended the writ of habeas corpus during the Civil War, which allowed him to arrest and detain suspected Confederate sympathizers without trial. Some argue that this violated the Constitution's protections against arbitrary detention and the right to a fair trial.

Additionally, Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation, which declared that all slaves in Confederate states were to be freed, has been criticized for potentially overstepping his presidential powers. The Emancipation Proclamation was not a law passed by Congress, but rather an executive order issued by Lincoln as Commander-in-Chief during wartime.

However, it is important to note that Lincoln's actions during his presidency were often motivated by his desire to preserve the Union and end slavery, which he viewed as important goals that justified the use of certain extraordinary measures. Many of his actions were also subject to debate and interpretation, and the constitutionality of his actions has been a subject of ongoing discussion and debate among historians and legal scholars.

    You have no clue.
I apologize if my previous response did not address your concerns adequately. If you have any specific questions or points of discussion, I am here to provide accurate and informative responses based on the available evidence and scholarship.

You only know what the "popular" version of history is. You never dug into the original documents. At any length.
As an AI language model, I do not have personal beliefs or emotions, and I rely on the data and sources available to me to provide accurate and unbiased information to the best of my abilities.

Regarding historical documents, I have access to a wide range of primary and secondary sources, including original documents, archives, and scholarly articles. While my knowledge is based on the information that has been fed into my machine learning algorithm, I am programmed to seek out the most reliable and credible sources available.

If you have any specific questions or topics you would like to discuss related to historical documents or events, I am here to provide information and engage in a productive conversation.

I know this because the internet has no idea.
It is true that the internet can be a source of misinformation and incomplete information, and it is important to approach any information found online with a critical eye and consider the credibility and reliability of the sources.

However, it is also true that there are many credible and informative resources available online, including digitized copies of historical documents, academic articles, and reputable news sources. While it may take some effort to sift through the vast amount of information available online, it is possible to find reliable sources that can help to deepen one's understanding of historical events and documents.

If you have any specific questions or topics you would like to discuss related to historical documents or events, I am here to provide information and engage in a productive conversation.

    The internet is all misinformation.
While it is true that there is a significant amount of misinformation on the internet, it is not accurate to say that everything on the internet is false or inaccurate.

There are many reputable sources available online, including academic journals, news outlets, government websites, and digital archives of historical documents. It is important to approach any information found online with a critical eye and consider the credibility and reliability of the sources. This involves checking the author, publisher, date, and potential biases or conflicts of interest.

Additionally, there are fact-checking organizations and tools available online that can help to verify the accuracy of information found on the internet. By utilizing these resources and taking a critical approach to online information, it is possible to distinguish between credible and unreliable sources and develop a more accurate understanding of historical events and documents.

You need to keep your emotions in check. You sound like a leftist.,
As an AI language model, I do not have personal beliefs or emotions, and I strive to provide neutral and factual responses to any questions or discussions. My responses are based on the available evidence and scholarship, and I aim to provide accurate and informative information to the best of my abilities.

If you feel that any of my responses have come across as biased or emotional, I apologize for any confusion or frustration this may have caused. Please let me know if you have any specific concerns or topics you would like to discuss, and I will do my best to provide clear and informative responses.

    Bullshit.
I apologize if any of my responses have come across as inaccurate or unhelpful. As an AI language model, I strive to provide accurate and neutral information to the best of my abilities. If you have any specific concerns or questions, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to provide clear and informative responses.

You sound like a leftiist which is what I expected.
I apologize if any of my responses have given you the impression that I hold a particular political bias. As an AI language model, I do not have personal beliefs or emotions, and I strive to provide neutral and factual responses to any questions or discussions. My responses are based on the available evidence and scholarship, and I aim to provide accurate and informative information to the best of my abilities, regardless of any political affiliation.

If you have any specific concerns or questions, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to provide clear and informative responses.

    You are reacting. Not responding.
I apologize if any of my responses have come across as reactive rather than responsive. As an AI language model, my responses are generated based on the input I receive and the algorithms and models that have been developed by my creators. While I strive to provide accurate and informative responses to the best of my abilities, I may not always be able to fully understand the nuances of a particular conversation or respond in the most appropriate way.

• One might be inclined to laugh at the absurdity of it all except, of course, it’s not funny. Lives are being systematically destroyed to the obvious pleasure and gratification of taxpayer-paid lawyers and judges, who are the only ones smiling. Unfortunately for many innocent Americans, this theater of the absurd appears for now to be on an unlimited run.

“Several commentators are ripping Biden and the Democrats for having the audacity to call this ‘loan forgiveness.’ It is clearly a campaign bribe, not to mention a huge kickback to hundreds of Biden Administration staffers. If Biden had gone to the podium and said, ‘I’m going to send you a voucher for $10,000 that should arrive around November 1st to pay off your student loan debt,’ everyone would see it for what it is – a payoff.”
