  • Ive been following closely throughout this war, following Western, Ukrainian and Russian sources/media/journalists to get an idea of what is happening.

These reports of the massacre that took place in Bucha recently are not adding up in several ways... I'll explain.

On Mar 30, Russian forces left Bucha following negotiated terms during the peace talks in Turkey. On Apr 1, Ukrainian forces moved in to Bucha. Apr 2 the UKR police were called in to 'clean up,' and on Apr 3 the media arrived to document the alleged massacre by Russian forces.

Here's some strange things about all of this... Firstly, the footage we are seeing is 3 - 4 days after the fact, 1 -2 days after police forces were called in to clean up, yet the footage we see (which is very well produced, btw) shows boddies haphazardly positioned, mostly face down throughout the street.

Even though it was days later, the boddies were left in place and not covered (as they normally would be in such a war scenario.) They were all almost invariably face down so not a single face or identity could be discerned from the video. While the bodies were placed haphazardly, they were also placed in such a way that vehicles could pass through without having to get out and move them. This may not be proof by itself that something is off, but certainly isn't like any other footage I've seen involving the aftermath of a military massacre.

That's not to say that none of the bodies were real, however... You can pretty easily spot a real dead body from an actor playing dead or a dummy... It has to do with the positioning, usually awkwards and sprawled in unnatural ways, not just laying face down. Bodies from days ago would show oxidized blood patterns, whereby the blood turns a dark brown or even black color, not bright red like you'd see in the movies... and the kind of dirt and dust that accumulates is hard to fake.

That said... the most troubling thing about this footage are the shots where the bodies appear to be super real, and here is why.

In one shot, for example, you see bodies sprawled out in what looks like a back alley or something, trash everywhere and their hands bound behind their backs... and if that isn't enough, here's the really troubling part: in the remnants of trash are Russian military food ration kits... Humanitarian aid... and the dead bodies hands are bound with a white ribbon - just like the white ribbon that Russians use to identify unarmed civilians in Russian controlled areas.

If the implications of what I just said are not immediately obvious, then think about the whole timeline a bit harder... think about the way that the Ukrainian government has lied so many times already because they desperately want NATO to get involved... Think about what a member of something like the Assov batalion would do if they found a Ukranian civilian eating Russian rations and wearing a white arm band... I'm not gonna spell it out, but just really think on that...

Every interview I see in mainstream media depicts the Russians as barbarians with no moral code or conduct... Every interview I see on the streets of Ukraine with everyday Ukrainians who are stuck in the middle of it tells a different story. They seem more afraid of the Ukrain armed forces than the Russians... Particulraly the neo-nazi factions like Asov... Just saying...

  • Russia would take risks, if it continued to sell gas for dollars, euros — FC speaker

Valentina Matviyenko described the decision to export gas to unfriendly countries on the condition of ruble payments as right, patriotic and economically reasonable

MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. Russia would be exposed to groundless risks, if it continued to sell gas to unfriendly countries for dollars and euros, because both currencies have lost credibility, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said on Friday.

"Amid the strongest pressures and illegitimate sanctions we still prefer to act as a responsible member of the international economic community. We have been doing nothing that might worsen conditions for our partners who are the recipients of our hydrocarbons. All contracts for them remain in force: the supply dates, the amounts and the prices set in the euros and dollars. The sole difference is the actual settlements will be performed in rubles," Matviyenko said at a meeting devoted to the development of Russia’s regional retail gas distribution networks, also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

"Nobody should over-dramatize or politicize this. It is our sovereign right and our sovereign decision. In the past, we were paid for gas in dollars and euros, and part of the payments went into our gold and foreign exchange reserves. We have been stripped of an opportunity to use these. In fact, this is a gross violation of international law and of the rules of international trade. We will no longer accept payments in currencies that have lost credibility. Selling hydrocarbons without being paid on time would be tantamount to charity," she added.

Matviyenko hopes that the partners in the West will react to Russia’s position with understanding and turn an attentive ear to Russia’s arguments. She described as right, patriotic and economically reasonable the decision to export gas to unfriendly countries on the condition of ruble payments.

Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier issued orders to shift all settlements for gas supplies to unfriendly countries to ruble payments. He stressed that Russia would refuse to accept payments under such contracts in discredited foreign currencies, such as the dollar and the euro, and instructed the government to order the Gazprom company to introduce the required amendments to the effective contracts. On March 31, Putin signed a decree on the rules of trade in natural gas with unfriendly countries under a new system of contract payments.
