Amber gulped her coffee, finished her devotions, and launched into another busy day. Driving children to and from school, planning meals, cleaning house, and a dozen other tasks awaited her. Hours later, she sat folding a mountain of laundry on the living room sofa. She reflected upon her life and said quietly, “I am matching these socks for you, Lord.”



The Lord spoke again to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai. He said, “Record the names of the members of the tribe of Levi by their families and clans. List every male who is one month old or older.” So Moses listed them, just as the Lord had commanded (Numbers 3:14–16).



Amber’s tasks may not seem very spiritual or exciting, but she was honoring God even in the mundane areas of life. Likewise, counting the males in the clan of Levi must have seemed dull for Moses, but he got the job done. Colossians 3:23 tells us to put our whole hearts into our daily efforts as we work for the Lord. Both exhilarating moments and tedious tasks are opportunities to serve Him.

As Sarah walked past the door of her teenage son’s bedroom one night, she saw him sitting in bed with his Bible in hand. “John, I’m happy to see you reading your Bible,” she said.



He frowned. “But I don’t get anything out of it.”



“You may not see the effects now,” she assured him, “but you are being changed.”



Moses spent forty days on Mount Sinai, where God gave him the Ten Commandments the second time. When he returned to the Israelite camp, he was not the same.



When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord (Exodus 34:29).



Spending time with God, praying, meditating, reading the Bible, and hearing His Word preached have a profound effect on your life. Although your face may not light up, time in His presence changes you, and people will know you have been with the Lord.



Prayer Suggestion: Holy Spirit, keep changing me from glory to glory to be more like my Savior. Amen.

Christianity believes that G-d came down to earth in human form, as Jesus said: "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30).
The Torah states that G-d cannot not take any form.:
"You will not be able to see My face, for no human can see my face and live" (Exodus 33:18-20)
"You did not see any form on the day G-d spoke to you at Horeb from the midst of fire" (Deuteronomy 4:15)
As little as we may know about G-d's nature, Judaism has always believed that G-d is Incorporeal, meaning that He assumes no physical form. G-d is Eternal, He is Infinite; above time and beyond space. He cannot be born, and cannot die.
Christianity denies the eternal relevance of Torah Law, basing the concept of the New Testament on a mistranslation of a verse in Jeremia.
In Jeremia 31:30 the Hebrew states: "Henei yamim baim Neum Hashem VeCharati Brit Chadash" They translate: "Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new Testament with the house of Israel "
"Brit" does not mean Testament. Throughout Scripture "Brit" means covenant. See for example Genesis 17:2, 15:18 Exodus 24:8, Leviticus 26:42, Numbers 25:12.
It is a fundamental principle of Judaism that the Torah received at Sinai will never be changed nor become obsolete. This concept is mentioned in the Torah no less than 24 times, with the words: "This is an eternal law for all generations"

It is absurd to accept the Divine origin of the Torah yet deny its eternal relevance. Judaism is a religion of action; it has always taught that through performance of the commandments one declares the belief of the heart. To dispense with the legal body of the Torah and reduce it to a book of morals would cut it down to less than half its size.
