Russian forces destroyed several deployment zones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kherson region on Thursday, TASS reported, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense. The assault, led by Russian crews manning 152-mm towed howitzers, resulted in the destruction of temporary deployment points utilized by the AFU on the right bank of the Dnieper. Artillery fire also caused a "large" number of Ukrainian military casualties, according to the ministry.

The Russian military has in recent days repelled all of Ukraine’s attempts to launch its "long-promised offensive," Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Tuesday.
