Chelsea Manning passed to Assange embarrasing information of alledged U.S. Goverment war crimes including the U.S. military killing of journalists. Assange did not spy, nor did he conspired to illegally obtain that information and video of the killings. Instead, like any journalist, and as protected by the First Amendment, published the undisputed evidence given to him by Chelsea Manning. Manning is a free person and goes on to live her life. Assange, instead, is persecuted and deprived of liberty for 12 years and counting.
