Russian artillery destroyed a stronghold occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reported, citing Russia's Ministry of Defense.
The strike also neutralized an AFU "electronic warfare station," after Russian drone crews relayed the location of the camouflaged Ukrainian stronghold to a Russian artillery crew that promptly fired 120-millimeter high-explosive fragmentation shells upon the target.
The report provided no information on the number of Ukrainian casualties.

Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) have successfully relocated from Avdiivka, Donetsk, to pre-arranged positions, according to the commander of the Tavria group of troops, Alexander Tarnavsky.

This strategic move follows the directive issued by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, who had earlier declared the decision to withdraw Ukrainian units from the city, after being "completely surrounded."

Russia attacking intensively, but losing soldiers - says the clown

Ukrainian President said that the country's military reported "very intensive Russian assaults," particularly in the Donetsk region, and claimed "it is extremely difficult to withstand their onslaught."
A top Ukrainian military official has said Russian troops have continued simultaneous assault attempts in several directions on the country’s east, and are increasing the use of kamikaze drones, Reuters reported. The head of Ukraine’s ground forces, Gen Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that Russia, despite high losses, has been attacking Ukrainian positions near Kupiansk. “In addition, the enemy has increased the use of kamikaze drones,” he said on Telegram.

Donetsk People's Republic's representative office at the Joint Center for Ceasefire Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported that Ukrainian forces fired three 155-millimeter cluster shells at Gorlovka in the morning hours on Monday.

On Octoebr 1, the DPR representatives' office accused Kiev of launching an attack on Makiivka, a city under Russian control, using standard NATO-caliber shells.
