The Forgotten Amendment to the Bill of Rights: The 9th Amendment
Government, any government cannot just assume powers not granted to it in either the United States Constitution or State constitutions. The #9thAmendment essentially says that just because a "Right" has not been identified (enumerated) does not mean that the people (The individual) are not entitled to individually decide what they will do. Where did government get the authority to tell someone what to wear? Or get the authority to track one personal movements or associations? All this under the veil of #PublicSafety. How many times does the #Constitution mention "Public Safety" and in which context? In which Article? Government keeps finding authorities and responsibilities that are not enumerated. Yet the 9th Amendment specifically says that the individual, the citizen, NOT government has the choice. The citizen has the personal authority.
Consider the psychology of the 9th Amendment and the thinking of the Founding Fathers. They demanded this amendment be included before the Constitution could be ratified. It is the default liberty amendment.
