THAT FORMAT WAS DESIGNED TO BE PLAYED IN OFFICES AND BUSINESSES FOR A COMFORTING AND RELAXING WORKING ENVIRONMENT. I REMEMBER BY THE 1990s, ONLY ONE OF THOSE STATIONS REMAINED IN NEW JERSEY, IT WAS 93 FM. AT THE TIME I WAS WORKING IN A SMALL BOOK BUSINESS, THE OWNER WAS AN OLD ITALIAN GUY AND ALL DAY LONG HE PLAYED THAT LIGHT MUSIC STATION, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THAT MUSIC RADIO BUSINESS MODEL WAS NOT PROFITABLE ANYMORE AND THE STATION WAS SOLD. THE BUYER WAS A LATINO RADIO COMPANY AND ONE MORNING, WHEN THE BOSS TURNED ON THE STEREO SYSTEM, THE STATION WAS PLAYING MORE NOISY MUSIC IN SPANISH. HE GOT SO MAD I WAS LAUGHING BY SEEING HIM FIGHTING WITH THE AIRWAVES TO NO AVAIL. THEN HE SWITCHED TO 101 CBS FM OLDIES STATION FROM NEW YORK BUT CBS FM ALSO DISAPPEARED NOT LONG AFTER. TODAY'S RECORDING, IS TO REMEMBER THE KIND OF MUSIC PLAYED IN THOSE NICE STATIONS OF THE PAST.
