I remember walking through this magnificent cathedral in the late 1980s. The history and reality of it all was humbling. The ensuing fire was a tragedy beyond explanation for many different reasons.
So, today—ironically, on a “day that will live in infamy”—the re-opening of this hallowed ground should ring out as a sign of hope and promise for not only the coming year but also for the age beyond the stunted intellect of wokeism and its totalitarian oppression.
