Officials at the U.S. Air Force Academy are investigating the death of Avery Koonce, a 19-year-old cadet who was found unconscious in her dormitory room Wednesday night. Koonce was a member of the women’s track-and-field team and was expected to graduate as a second lieutenant in 2028.
