Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk claimed artificial intelligence is "more dangerous than nuclear bombs" and said it should be regulated. He added that the current AI models will reach the point of "artificial general intelligence" within three years, at which time they will be able to "write as good a novel as, say, J.K. Rowling, or discover new physics, or invent new technology. "Commenting on the recent turmoil at OpenAI, which he helped create, Musk said at a New York Times event that he reached out to the company's Chief Scientist Ilya Sutskever but that he still does not know why CEO Sam Altman was briefly fired. He added that "the public should be informed" of the reason.
