The Russian Embassy in the United States said that Washington's decision to send depleted uranium rounds for Abrams tanks to Ukraine is an "indicator of inhumanity."

"Washington is ready to fight not only to the last Ukrainian, but also to put an end to entire generations," the embassy wrote on social media, adding that the American "uranium footprint" is obvious in Iraq and the Balkans, where the US military used depleted uranium weapons and where thousands of civilians suffer from cancer and related conditions as a consequence.

The US is "deceiving itself by refusing to accept the failure of the so-called UAF [Ukraine Armed Forces] counteroffensive" and the "course of the special operation will not change," the embassy underlined, noting that Washington is "deeply indifferent to both the present of Ukraine and the future of the republic and its European neighbors."
