JPMorgan is said to be accused of keeping ties to Epstein

United States Virgin Islands' attorneys claimed that JPMorgan Chase & Co. handled $1.1 million in payments from then-convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to "girls or women" even after allegedly formally dismissing him as a client in 2013, CNBC reported on Monday, citing a letter from US Virgin Islands' lawyer Linda Singer to New York federal Judge Jed Rakoff.

The letter allegedly showed that JPMorgan failed to disclose the payments before the deadline for the exchange of evidence between the legal teams of the US Virgin Islands and the bank expired.

US Virgin Islands sued the bank in a federal court over facilitating Epstein's sex trafficking.
