Yellow Corporation, one of the United States largest trucking companies, shut down its operations on Sunday, just days after it laid-off hundreds of non-union employees, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The 99-year-old trucking giant based in Nashville is said to have informed its customers and workers it will cease all operations by midday on July 30. The decision came amid negotiations with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters over missed pension and benefits payments and proposed contract terms, the Journal wrote, reporting that approximately 30,000 employees will be affected by the closure.
