North Korean Ministry of Defense claimed in a statement that the United States spy airplanes invaded the country's airspace recently, KCNA reported.

Pyongyang labeled the act as "provocative" and underlined that "there is no guarantee" Washington's spy planes won't be shot down. The ministry shared that between July 2 and 9, US RC-135 and U-2S reconnaissance aircraft, alongside unmanned reconnaissance aircraft RQ-4B "flew over the East Sea and the West Sea of Korea."

In addition, the ministry condemned the US decision to deploy a nuclear-powered submarine to South Korea, underlining that this move "creates a dangerous situation," as it heightens military tensions and brings the region "closer to a nuclear conflict."
