A United States nuclear-powered guided missile submarine (SSGN) has arrived in South Korea after North Korea resumed its ballistic missile launches. The USS Michigan docked in the city of Busan for the first time since 2017.

"The US SSGN's visit to South Korea is intended to substantively implement the agreement in the Washington Declaration made in April to enhance the regular visibility of strategic assets on the Korean Peninsula," South Korean Fleet Commander Vice Adm. Kim Myung-soo, according to Yonhap.
