Twitter Inc. CEO Elon Musk said he will step down as head of the company after his replacement is found.

"I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job," the billionaire explained, noting he will from then on run software and servers teams at the company.

The announcement came just two days after the Tesla mogul launched a Twitter poll, in which he asked his followers if he should quit as chief executive. The results showed the public favored his resignation.
