Walmart shooter was store's employee, police confirms 🇺🇸 The perpetrator in the shooting at a Walmart store in Chesapeake, Virginia, who killed at least seven and injured four was the facility's employee, the local police's chief Mark Solesky said on Wednesday at a press conference. Solesky also confirmed that the shooter seems to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He declined to identify the perpetrator as his family has not been informed of his death yet.
