Good day brothers and sisters. We have come to the week of Thanksgiving and we have so much to be thankful for. Next Sunday Advent begins too. We have already arrived to that very special time of year. But before we think about the newborn king we should think about the Kingdom of God and that we have now entered it. Let’s see what the Smart Book has to say;
Colossians 1:16-20 AMP
For by Him all things were created in heaven and on earth, [things] visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [that is, by His activity] and for Him. And He Himself existed and is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. [His is the controlling, cohesive force of the universe.] He is also the head [the life-source and leader] of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will occupy the first place [He will stand supreme and be preeminent] in everything. For it pleased the Father for all the fullness [of deity—the sum total of His essence, all His perfection, powers, and attributes] to dwell [permanently] in Him (the Son), and through [the intervention of] the Son to reconcile all things to Himself, making peace [with believers] through the blood of His cross; through Him, [I say,] whether things on earth or things in heaven.
Just look at our mighty Lord Yeshua (Jesus Christ). He created everything, because He existed before everything. He is the head of the Church. He is the first to be raised from the dead. We have peace true peace through the blood of His cross. That is what is awesome about this time of year. It’s a time of peace. We need to remember the Prince of Peace. We have now entered the Kingdom of God because the Kingdom of God is in us the Church!
I personally know that our Lord was not born in the middle of winter, but I don’t mind observing His birth during that time. He was most likely born during the Feast of Tabernacles in the fall. It is very important to remember how He came to us as a man child. Through His life and death we have entered into a New Covenant with the Lord. We now have Grace. All the former things have passed away and all of these things we do and observe today will one day pass away too. We have the Kingdom of God in us, but our new heavenly home will be coming down to us. There will be a New Earth Age as this one will be remade through fire. Everything will come out shiny and new including us.
So as we think of the man child king, we must look forward to the Mighty King of Kings and His return to us. He will return in the same manner as He left. Look up! Be full of Holiday cheer and love for your fellow man as we enter this season of Thanksgiving and Advent.
May the Lord bless and keep you, His face shine upon you,
