27 years ago today, a unique legend and role model was snatched from the world, when Selena Quintanilla-Perez was gunned down by her obsessed and selfish POS fan club president.
Selena is one of my biggest heroes and inspirations, having motivated and inspired me to pursue my dreams and goals, including serving in the US military (US Army, 2009-2012). Needless to say, there were several people who didn't want me to join because they'd worry and didn't want anything to happen, blah blah blah. Then again, you don't have to be in the military for something bad to happen. Selena wasn't in the military, and...need I say more?
RIP Selena, I'll always look up to you, and I have no doubt you would've partnered with the USO and performed for our troops, among other wonderful things! ❤
