Well this one has been on the bench for a while waiting to be played. This is one of the most crucial of US Movies shown during the 80s Cold War era. Like so many other kids this movie had me in a mindset that at some point we were going to have to drive the Russians from our home soil. More than that, that it was possible to do so. Even more, possible by children. Before that point the country only told us how to survive a nuclear apocalypse. Hell, weird thing was that because we were so young we never asked the question IF we wanted to survive said apocalypse. We were never given any inclination on how dark a scenario that might be.

All of the prepping aside this was a great movie. One that I am glad has survived the test of time. (And no that new version sucked rancid donkey balls. I wouldn't recommend that festering pile of shit to my enemy.) So today we test out our new DJ (DJ Nagasaki) to see if she can pull this episode off on her own. Please don't be too hyper-critical, unless of course it is entertaining. Then by all means do so.

Plot: From out of the sky, Soviet, Nicaraguan, and Cuban troops begin landing on the football field of a Colorado high school. In a few seconds, the paratroopers have attacked the school and sent a group of teenagers fleeing into the mountains. Armed only with hunting rifles, pistols, and bows and arrows, the teens struggle to survive the bitter winter and the Soviet K.G.B. patrols hunting for them. Eventually, trouble arises when they kill a group of Soviet soldiers on patrol in the highlands. Soon they will wage their own guerrilla warfare against the invading Soviet troops. Soon they will become the Wolverines.
