We should have started an alliance with Russia after Gorbachav fell by the wayside. I have a feeling that Putin was probably the Trump of Russia. WIth the ferocity that the left went after him when he was installed I knew something was wrong. Say what you want, the left are stupid, greedy, underhanded and generally evil but they are a great divining rod for the political. I suspect that what was left of groups like the KGB and so on fought Putin. The one thing he knows is that his country needs capitalism even if only on a limited basis. Russia fell because they ran out of resources. Ill tell you what, I would gladly buy an off-road truck from Russia.
