A note to all of you older people here. While it may be getting harder to maneuver you do have one obligation to the world. Your memory. The fact that sometimes the memory of the older generations is sometimes the only true data on an area or a time.

I was scanning YouTube today for the old railroad Amador Central. It was a back woods railroad in the East of California. You would think something like that would be thoroughly documented but apparently not. This was the only real video I could find of the locomotive.

Now considering when I used to take images there back in the mid 90s that means that I may be one of the last resources for information on this railroad. Usually there was one man there working on the 2 locomotives in the engine house in Ione, CA. He was the only real employee there. He repaired and drove the locomotives. Repaired track and generally if he didn't do it, it didn't get done.

I talked to the man at length because he was always alone. He appreciated conversation so really I was there more than anyone else. I took images of him and the locomotive. So I am probably it besides this one video.

Think about that for a while before thinking you have nothing further to do in this life.
