If not for monopoly rights (copyrights and patents), every technology we have today would've existed 100 years earlier, at least. We would've had communities in space and on the Moon and Mars TODAY if not for government-enforced monopoly rights.

They say you cannot stop innovation. You probably heard that statement before, I bet. But have you paused for a moment to think how incredibly naive are these idiots who said that?

They obviously never heard of patents and copyrights. How do you stop innovation? Simply buy the patent!

If you are the owner of a tech monopoly and there's a rising technology that can totally disrupt your business model and dethrone you, simply buy the patent of that new tech and bury it. That's it. That's all it takes. Simply throw some of your money at the problem and suppress innovation along with it.

So, yes, you most certainly CAN stop innovation and strangle it in its cradle thanks to monopoly rights like patents and copyrights. That's precisely what they're for and how they've been used since their inception. Just think of the hundreds of thousands of suppressed technologies that were stolen from humanity's progress because they would've put Big Oil or Apple or Google out of business.

Patents and copyrights are monopoly rights. A patent is a legal protection for ONE company to be the ONLY producer of what would've otherwise been easily reverse-engineered by other people in a free market.

There's absolutely NOTHING free-market about a patent or copyright. It's basically a government-protected privilege to ensure that ONE company gets filthy rich by making monopolistic profits without ever worrying about the competition. That's what a patent is, you idiots!

For a working-class person to advocate for patents and copyrights, he/she must be insane! Patents only benefit the ruling class and the corporate oligarchy, not the working-class people who will be stuck with overpriced products like those sold ONLY by Apple.

But the worst kinds of patents are medical patents and food patents. Patented food are GMOs, and they aren't meant to feed the world. They are intended to control the food supply. And that's why many fruits nowadays are seedless. And that's why conglomerates like PepsiCo are suing poor farmers in India for planting a potato variety that it patented!

Patented medicine is another nightmare and a scam within a scam on top of another scam. How can Mexico get drugs that come from the U.S. and charge one-fifth of what we do? Contemplate this question, and perhaps you'll grow a few brain cells in the process. You can thank me later!

We MUST Abolish copyrights and patents NOW to set innovation free.
