Or a work for hire lasts for 95 years from the year of its first publication or a term of 120 years from the year of its creation, whichever expires first. Disney got an extension from congress. Orwell's novels 1984 and animal farm aren't in the public domain yet, thanks to Congress. Wait another 25 years and they will be. In the UK, they already are.
