It looks like there might be another tremendous setback brewing that COULD prevent #Parler from re-launching. It COULD be a setback to Gab, and other entities that use the same service.

This article isn't necessarily favorable, and in the tech industry there are WAYYY too many #lefties (or more specifically neoliberals/the authoritarian left). You can tell because the scream #Russia around every corner. Just look at the comments (if you dare) as the article content points out the fact that Russia is only one nation-state involved.

I lost one of my friends in the industry early on over arguing about IPv6 vs IPv4 and the fact that having too much control given to these centralized agencies to commoditize IPv4 space is a net negative for free speech and even net neutrality. That migrate to IPv6 and making IP space plentiful curtails this kind of centralized control. As a matter of practically IPv6 is being migrated to anyway, but there are still stragglers and even companies who refuse because it's a gold mine for them.

Dealing with section 230 and #Bigtech isn't the only problems free speech sites are going to be facing for these regulatory agencies. It needs to be pointed out as a matter of FACT that the #Authoritarian #left is going to be a tremendous problem too. It's bad enough that they still believe their #Russia lies, they believe this was a clean election, and they believe Joe is a good guy. Now that they have control of these regulatory internet agencies, they're going to work to make sure we aren't able to access the #Internet at all.

How long will it take before the argument out of them is "don't like our internet? get your own!" There is NOTHING but problems on the horizon for free speech on the internet until we are able to successfully fight back against this and establish footholds. It's good that we have Epik, but they're screaming and targeting them JUST like everything else. They can't take it!

Parler, the beleaguered social network advertised as a "free speech" alternative to Facebook and Twitter, has had a tough month. Apple and Google removed the Parler app from its stores, and Amazon blocked the platform from using its hosting services. Parler has since found a home in DDoS-Guard, a Russian digital infrastructure company. But now…
