  • Copied from a friend To my Republican, conservative, and Libertarian friends who voted for Trump and remained faithful (others may skip this post as you will not find anything in it that suits you):
Today feels every bit like a funeral for a longtime friend. It feels like a funeral for America the Beautiful.
Today, the last great US president rode off into the proverbial sunset, as rabid, hypocritical, unforgiving Democrat politicians were snapping at his heels, still making belligerent impeachment threats and threats that Donald J Trump will never hold any public office in this country again.
Most of Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, and their ilk, became millionaires while in office. President Trump, on the other hand, entered politics as a wealthy man and could not be bought. Rather, Mr. Trump donated his $400,000 annual paycheck. Perhaps the real criminals are the ones who are the first to cast murderous stones at the (now former) president.
What I loved about President Trump, and will continue to admire, is that he had no lengthy list of favors to repay, was beholden to no one, and loved this country in a way I had not seen since the days of Reagan, another man despised by the Left because he dared to love America. Above all, what I loved about President Trump was that he kept his word. His promises were not of the flighty campaign variety--he gave his word, and he fulfilled his promises to the best of his ability, come hell, high water, or saboteurs like Pelosi and Schumer, even some turncoats in his own party.
Even now, President Trump continues to encourage us in this dark hour, reminding us that America's best days are ahead. When Joe Biden or Kamala Harris utter similar words, they clank and wheeze, like out-of-tune musical instruments.
My one quibble with Mr. Trump, however, is that America's best days are not ahead, but behind us. America's darkest days, ushered in by an illegitimate blue wave that was actually a red tsunami, are what lie ahead. As early as today, the Made-in-China puppet I will forever refer to as the patriarch of the Biden Crime Family will be issuing orders to strip us of our freedoms and our hard-earned dollar, and to give them to those who did not earn them and do not deserve them.
Today, leftists throughout the world, especially Chinese-bought politicians in this country and abroad, celebrate the changing of the guard, a changing that is both a symbol of American power--that we the people have the right to vote in new leadership every four years--as well as weakness. The structure of our voting system belies an inherent instability that is deeply rooted in our form of government. True dictators show their strength by not leaving. They fire their .45s and AK-47s into the air in a show of power. They sit in military uniform and gaze admiringly at marching soldiers who await their twisted commands. Yet their government policies, for good or ill, rarely sway. They stay the course and outlast their American counterparts by two-, three-, even four-to-one. A case in point: Vladimir Putin is in his third decade of ruling over Russia, the family of Kim Jong Un has presided over North Korea since the 1950s, and who knows when Xi will leave power. Love them or hate them, their rule does not waver. They don't change direction every four, six, or eight years.
So today, we have, by way of an election, the validity of which will forever be debated, a new administration, one that will rule in any way it sees fit, but you can bet the direction will be 180 degrees from that of President Trump.
I'm very sorry to say that the Grim Reaper has come for our Constitution, our way of life, and our freedom, and it arrived today by way of a faux inauguration and an illegitimate administration.
