Been fighting with the truck brakes for awhile. I finally discovered the main problem, I think. The little copper line in the photo was connecting the ABS to the proportioning valve, and it didn't fit - the fittings were too big to screw in and tighten. It was just kind of pushed up into the holes. It stayed in place mostly, but always leaked. This is the first time it was easy to remove a brake line!

I made a new line with the right size fittings. I don't know if it'll work, yet. The ends are the right distance apart, but I can't tell if anything will interfere with getting it in place until I try it. This is the biggest brake line in the truck, and it's a short little thing. It was hard to bend. I sure hope it works! :folded-hands:

If not, I might just bypass the ABS and connect the brake lines straight to the master cylinder.

I'm stuccoing the new kitchen and getting ready to add the pump house and put in the new pump. You can laugh about the stucco if you want. It's the first coat. Hopefully the second coat starts looking better. If it's still rough, I'll just paint it and say I did that on purpose. It's solid and not cracking, that's the main thing! The pump house goes in the orange un-stuccoed part. All the pipes and electrical will go into the kitchen through there.

I used to live out in the country, but we didn't have farm. We had a large garden. We had some chickens and ducks at one time. I have done some farm work.

Being off-grid and working towards being as self-sufficient as you can, it makes you much more free. But it certainly isn't free money-wise! You don't have utility bills, but you have to build and maintain all that stuff on your own dime. Still very worth it ... I say as I go to buy yet another battery for my solar system.

#rural Gotta have a truck. The fuel pump went out in my big truck, so I jacked up the bed, so I could get to the fuel pump. Barely! But it should work.

This is a trick that I learned during the 2016 Blizzard in the High Desert of CenEast Oregon. It helped me to get my 91 Ford F150 out of a snow bank after digging the tires out. Really glad that someone decided to show it on YouTube.
