Those two items are hitting everyone because of continuing price increases and inflation. I don’t know if ordering the deductions could be done by EO (which might be the quickest way) or if we need to pass a bill to do this. The deduction would only be allowed on federal returns (because to do it on state returns, the state might try to re-coup via higher property taxes). Since many don’t own property it might put a higher tax burden on those who do.
