Labour’s support for single-sex spaces is too little, too late. It is no longer the party for women that it used to be. Labour should be the party for women. In 1975, a Labour government introduced the Sex Discrimination Act and statutory maternity pay. The 2010 Equality Act began life in a Labour manifesto.
