  • Lol moveon.orgies says republicans are a cult because we roasted miss piggy chainey at the primaries. The email title was:

    Republicans aren't a political party. They're a cult.

    Dear MoveOn Retard,

On Tuesday, Wyoming Republicans had the opportunity to choose between Liz Cheney—a staunch conservative whose only deviation from party orthodoxy was that she refused to repeat Donald Trump's Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen—and an election denier who calls Trump "the greatest president of my lifetime."

Liz Cheney lost by 37 points.

Need more evidence that the GOP is nothing but a personality cult of Donald Trump? Check this out.

After the FBI raided Donald Trump's home to recover stolen top-secret national security documents, Trump's support among Republican voters for the 2024 presidential nomination actually went up ... to the highest number ever recorded.

In the words of Robert Reich, "The political struggle of our time is no longer left versus right, Democrat versus Republican. It is democracy versus authoritarianism."

This is a fight we must win. That's why MoveOn has committed $30 million to our 2022 midterm campaign—the largest midterm campaign in our 23-year history.

We're using that money to run the same tried-and-true campaign tactics that helped beat Trump in 2020, including on-the-ground organizers to get out the vote and hard-hitting internet and TV ads to reach undecided swing voters. We've also spent the last year innovating new, cutting-edge tactics that will allow us to remain one step ahead of our opposition, just as MoveOn has so many times in the past.

Will you donate $5 a month to power our campaign and help stop the authoritarian takeover of our democracy? Your monthly contribution will help sustain our campaign from now until Election Day.

While Republicans continue down the dark and dangerous path of Trump's authoritarianism, we have gotten news recently showing that we have a real shot at defying history and stopping Republicans from taking control of Congress.

First, President Biden just scored the most impressive run of legislative victories of any president in a decade or more, passing landmark legislation on climate change, prescription drugs, gun safety, veterans' health care, and more. Meanwhile, gas prices are declining, jobs are booming, and the rise in inflation has significantly slowed.

And the end of Roe v. Wade and the wave of abortion bans going into effect across the country are triggering a backlash, demonstrated by the landslide victory for abortion rights on the ballot in Kansas, a state Trump won by 15 points in 2020.

All of this news is translating to a dramatic shift in Democrats' prospects in the midterm elections.

In early June, Republicans were on track to win 51 seats and a majority in the Senate. Now, Democrats have pulled ahead in enough places that the polls say they would likely gain seats if the election were held today.

Because of gerrymandering, the House of Representatives will be more difficult for Democrats. But even there, if you ignore the pundits and just look at the available polling data, Democrats have a 1 in 3 chance of holding their majority, according to the data-only polling model by the experts at FiveThirtyEight.

And that's before we even start the biggest phases of our campaign, which won't begin in earnest until after Labor Day.

With your help, MoveOn will be able to invest in ads on TV and digital platforms, driving the most effective messaging to persuade the exact voters we need to win and fire up Democrats across the board. We're organizing phone banks and texting campaigns to remind voters who might not otherwise bother voting in a midterm.

These are tactics we know from testing can have a measurable impact on election outcomes, but as a grassroots membership organization, we rely on donations from everyday people like you. Instead of one super-rich billionaire writing a huge check, we're able to take on Trump and the Republicans by collecting tens of thousands of donations of $10, $20, and $50 each.

We have just 79 days left until Election Day. Will you donate $5 a month to help stop the Republican takeover of Congress and defend our fragile democracy? Monthly donations help power and sustain our campaigns for the long term.

Buncha horse shit, and they say republicans are a cult. Imagine how many mouthbreathing retards see that ad actually open their wallets.

    Dear MoveOn Retardlings,

After the right-wing-rigged Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last week—effectively taking away abortion rights and the right to privacy that's been considered legal precedent for the past 50 years—local and national press outlets are covering reform of the Supreme Court like never before.

We won't go back. That's why nearly ONE MILLION MoveOn members have signed the petition calling on Clarence Thomas to either resign or be impeached. Will you take a minute and add your name too?

And as if the ruling on Roe is not enough, Justice Clarence Thomas—who sided with the majority on overturning Roe—made it clear what's next: to overturn high court rulings that established LGBTQ+ rights, marriage equality and contraception rights.

Thomas's own ties with Big Money's right-wing organizations and his wife's, Ginni Thomas, leading role in right-wing organizations (especially her efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election) have been well documented. For decades, Thomas has refused to step back from cases that involve his and his wife's interests. Thomas's participation in the Supreme Court case on this matter, and a slew of others, is only the latest example of his severely compromised sense of impartiality and morality. Thomas never should have been confirmed for the court. Now, it is clearer than ever that he must resign—or Congress must investigate, reveal what he knew and when he knew it, and impeach him.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas should either resign or be impeached.

Now is the time to keep up the pressure. We cannot allow this to be business as usual. Justice Thomas has a history of outrageous, abusive, and immoral actions—and now that it's clear he was willing to use his power to attempt to conceal his wife's role in Trump's 2020 coup attempt, he needs to go. Add your name to the petition to join hundreds of thousands of MoveOn members who agree: Clarence Thomas must go.

Thomas's failure to recuse himself warrants immediate investigation and heightened alarm. And it's only the latest in a long history of conflicts of interest in the service of a right-wing agenda and mixing his powerful role with his conservative political activism. He has shown he cannot be an impartial justice and is more concerned with covering up his wife's coup attempts than in the health of the Supreme Court.

He must resign—or Congress must immediately investigate and impeach.

Click here to add your name to this petition, and then pass it along to your friends.

    Thanks for all you do.

  • Moveon.orgy freakin out over elon musk today lol. Here is what they wrote:

    Dear ̷M̷o̷v̷e̷O̷n̷ ̷M̷e̷m̷b̷e̷r̷ Flaming Libtard,

Elon Musk, the richest man on Earth, just made a $43 BILLION offer to buy Twitter. Why is this terrifying, you ask? Keep reading!

Just last week, Elon Musk bought 9% of Twitter, making him the company's biggest stakeholder. Then, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal announced Musk would be joining their board, before saying the next day that Musk had changed his mind and decided not to join the board. That decision left the door open for Musk to bid to own Twitter outright. This move from Musk signals what financial experts call a hostile takeover of Twitter.

Musk, CEO of Tesla, says that he will be a champion for free speech, but he has fired Tesla workers who were organizing a union. And that's not all: Black Tesla employees spoke out about experiencing rampant racism and discrimination, such as being called the N-word, getting called monkeys, and being "forced to work in a segregated area of the factory called 'the plantation." They were retaliated against and fired for speaking out. It’s absolutely disgusting.

Twitter already has a problem protecting users from abuse on its site. Musk has one of the largest followings on Twitter—his tweets have moved stock prices, and directly affect values of his companies' and his own net worth. Musk has also used his large following to bully others in the name of "free speech." At the helm of Twitter, he would no doubt continue to use scare tactics against reporters and journalists who critique him publicly. Elon's ownership would only harm the millions of people already experiencing harassment and abuse while using the site.

Twitter has become more than a platform for our personal thoughts; it's also a home for activists and a source used by hundreds of millions to learn more about societal problems and international and local news not covered by more prominent cable sources.

This effort from the ultra-wealthy to take control of news outlets to craft their own narratives is not new (Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post, and just...google Rupert Murdoch), but it's ridiculous that during a deadly global pandemic, the rich just got richer. And now, Elon Musk—who paid $0 in federal income tax in 2018, despite his growing wealth—can now easily afford a $43 billion deal to take control of a platform we all enjoy. It’s time to fight back.

    Thanks!

  • Dear MoveOn member,

New campaign finance reports show that Donald Trump has built a massive war chest: $122 million in political cash.

On average, Trump—who recently declared himself the "45th and 47th" president—raised $10 million per month in 2021.2

And he's starting to spend that money in a completely novel way for a former president: putting his hand on the scale in races for secretary of state, a previously obscure and nonpartisan role, in battleground states.

In most states, the secretary of state is the official who oversees vote counting and recounts and certifies—or rejects—the results.

That's right: Trump has endorsed and is starting to pour cash into replacing the top elections official in battleground states with his own loyalists.

If Trump is able to install loyalists in these critical offices overseeing state elections, there may be no way of stopping him in 2024.

That's why MoveOn is launching a multimillion-dollar campaign to defeat Trump-backed candidates for secretary of state and stop this slow-motion coup unfolding right before our eyes.

But MoveOn hasn't raised nearly as much as Trump's operation!

Yeah, no shit faggots. Kill yourself you libtards, it's over trump is crushing you, hes gonna send you all to camps anyways. Do it.

  • Moveon faggots take on the verdict. Bunch of fuckin retards

Breaking news: A jury has just failed to convict Kyle Rittenhouse of all charges in his murder trial. Disgraceful.

On August 25, 2020, Rittenhouse traveled across state lines from Illinois to Kenosha, Wisconsin, and gunned down two Black Lives Matter protesters with an AR-15-style rifle.

Thousands had gathered on the streets of Kenosha to protest the police shooting of an unarmed Black man, Jacob Blake. The shooting was caught on video and left Blake paralyzed from the waist down.

Rittenhouse killed two people who were there protesting racial injustice and police brutality—and he killed them in cold blood. Just days later, GOP leaders in Wisconsin and nationwide flocked to his defense and began raising money for Rittenhouse and his family—and shortly after he was released from jail, he was caught partying with members of the Proud Boys and gleefully flashing "white power" signs for photos. Instead of accountability, he's gotten stardom—and now he has gotten away with killing two people and injuring a third person. This is excruciating.

We're counting on you to channel this righteous rage into action. Will you rush a $3 donation to Black Leaders Organizing Communities (BLOC), a Black-led Wisconsin-based organization that's doing critical racial justice work around housing, policing, health care, and transportation advocacy across the state? 100% of your donation will go directly to BLOC.

Rittenhouse's trial has made a complete mockery of our justice system. The judge presiding over the case hasn't even pretended to be impartial over the last couple of weeks.

He lashed out and screamed at the prosecution during the middle of questioning. He's made racist, anti-Asian comments. He barred the prosecution from referring to the two people killed as "victims," on the grounds that it's too loaded of a word but allowed the defense to refer to them as "rioters." He even asked the jury to give a round of applause for a Rittenhouse defense witness.

It's no surprise that Rittenhouse is able to walk free, despite having ruthlessly taken the lives of two people.

Can you rush $3 to BLOC, a vital Wisconsin-based organization building power at the local level and fighting for justice for working families and communities of color? 100% of your donation will go straight to BLOC.

In the days and weeks ahead, we'll continue to fight for racial justice—and that means, among many other things, holding violent white supremacists accountable.

White supremacists will continue to resort to hate, division, and violence, but we have the people on our side.

We know that the best way to counter white supremacy is to empower those people, institutions, and ideas that build solidarity and power among marginalized communities and working families.

Groups like BLOC are doing the critical work of building power every single day—and because of the work they do, communities across Wisconsin are more resilient against the threats of far-right, white supremacist violence. Rush a $3 donation now, and every penny of your donation will go straight to BLOC.

    Thanks for all you do.

  • A rich letter from the moveon faggots:

    Dear MoveOn member,

My name is Chris Torres, and I'm MoveOn's political director. I'm responsible for planning and overseeing the work we do to win elections, and unfortunately, I'm writing to you today because I am really worried about what could happen across the country next year.

The first wave of new congressional maps have just been released, and they are more distorted, biased, and gerrymandered than any congressional maps since the passage of the Voting Rights Act in 1965, according to The New York Times.1 These first maps alone—all drawn by Republicans—are likely to gain Republicans five seats in the House, enough to flip the majority in the chamber next year.2

There is no sugarcoating that news—but we can still win, and I'll tell you why.

The GOP is so focused on manipulating their districts and passing racist voter suppression laws because they know that cheating is the only way they can win, and, more importantly, they know that if Democrats organize and show up, they don't stand a chance.

That's our challenge and our opportunity. If we can build the infrastructure to inspire and energize voters, we really can defy history and win—just as we did in 2020.
