We just got a letter about the Department of Justice allowing a breach of all personal information, including Social Security Number, Driver's License Number, Medicare Beneficiary Identifier, Birth Date, Name, Address, Healthcare Providers and Subscriptions, and Health Insurance Claims/Policy/Subscriber Information. The breach occurred with DOJ contractors Greylock, McKinnon, and Associates. It happened in May 2023 and they are just now sending letters to those affected.

Medicare isn't 100% free, there IS a co-pay involved. Meds aren't included depending on what version of Medicare you're on, so no, it's not Socialism. Medicaid IS Socialism (but you need to be near broke to qualify for it).

I keep reading in places that Social Security is Socialism. OMG, for the final time, it isn't Socialism. It's your own fucking money. That's what FICA is on your payroll taxes is. For crying out loud. Medicare is NOT Socialism, it's government subsidized, yes, but not Socialism. Medicaid, IS socialism.

As an American, I feel that welfare (general assistance (money), SNAP (Food Stamps), SSI (Social Security Insurance), and SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance), Quest (Medicaid), Medicare) in moderation is needed for those who cannot work and are physically or mentally disabled to the point where they cannot work. BUT, those who can work need to work. Now, while this is socialism, it must be heavily micromanaged to make sure that it's not abused, and heavy penalties should be installed so that no one abuses it. Now, this is the only thing that I agree with the left about. Society needs to be able to take care of those not able to work and not just push them out of Society. BOTH the left AND the right are guilty of doing this.
