Well, too bad because Elon Musk will do it anyway, and he doesn't need your permission. After all, SpaceX is a private company, and it should be allowed to do whatever the hell it wants. Right? Before you start orgasming on the idea of living on Mars, you should really understand what corporations are and how they operate. Corporations are fascist dictatorships in which decisions are ALWAYS taken in a top-down structure. The wage slaves (obedient order-following workers) are never involved in decision-making, and they are fundamentally deplorable. That means if a company like SpaceX achieves its mission and colonizes Mars, it becomes a government. Under this government, you're just a slave. Surely you can speak to HR for complaints, but you're essentially deplorable, and if you stop doing what you're told, they'll terminate you. SpaceX's colonists will live under a fascist dictatorship. The worst part is that Elon Musk will have the power to regulate even the oxygen that his "citizens" can consume on Mars. He'll decide how many calories you're allowed to consumed and how much water you're allowed to drink. He'll also determine if you're allowed to have sex or not and whether there should be a one-child policy or zero. And you thought the communist Chinese government is bad? Think again.
