While I KNOW that America's #Police Departments need SERIOUS POLICE REFORMS.......... I do support honest, decent cops!!! But the fact of the matter is this.......... Police are RARELY HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ILLEGAL ACTIONS!!! Just because they are "Heroes" does NOT mean they should be "Above the Law"!!! NOBODY should be "Above the Law" in America!!! PERIOD!!! #Justice only works when EVERYONE is treated EXACTLY THE SAME UNDER THE LAW!!! In the United States we have what is called "Qualified Immunity" which protects Police, Politicians, and Judges from being sued for acting negligently, criminally, or dangerously!!! So what QI actually does is says "YOU are above being held liable for your actions, because you should NOT be expected to follow the laws of the land" THAT is EXACTLY what it says!!! If a cop acts recklessly and shoots into a crowd and kills YOU or your child.......... you CANNOT sue him!!! what kind of logic is that??? Police who act responsibly will be totally unaffected by ABOLISHING Qualified Immunity!!! Just act responsibly and you won't get sued!!!
