• The Forgotten Amendment to the Bill of Rights: The 9th Amendment

Are Mask Mandates Constitutional? The 9th Amendment essentially says that just because a "Right" has not been identified (enumerated) does not mean that the people (The individual) does not have that right. Where did government get the authority to tell someone what to wear? How many times does the Constitution mention "Public Safety" and in which context and which Article? Government keeps finding authorities and responsibilities that are not enumerated. Yet the 9th Amendment specifically says that the individual, the citizen, not the government has the authority.

Consider the psychology of this Amendment and the thinking of the Founding Fathers and their generation in demanding this amendment. It is all liberty.

  • Is being a citizen a matter of degree or is it binary (one is either a citizen or is not)? The criminal court process of trial by jury is the formal process (if found guilty) by which citizens are formally deprived of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Based on the crime they are sentenced. With all due respect to certain SCOTUS decisions, the citizen sentenced is without civil rights. They are wards of the prison system for the duration of their sentence. However, once that citizen has performed their sentence, what percentage of citizen are they? It varies from state to state. In the case with Florida, the #24thAmendment prohibits the the failure to pay a tax from stopping a citizen from voting and the SCOTUS #Obamacare ruling National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius (2012) made fines and fees a tax.
