The current Android OS is 14. If you're not on 14, it's time to upgrade your phone or upgrade your OS. Most Manufactures will only upgrade one OS on their phones, some will do 2. The Cheaper phones won't do any. Google will release a new OS every year.

PSA: Please disable NameDrop if you update to the latest iOS on your iPhone. This feature isn't new. The police in different jurisdictions are warning to turn it off. This feature isn't new, it's' just NFC (Near Field Communication). Android phones have had NFC for years, and recently, I noticed even the top-end phones stopped offering it because of the security risk it opens. lol

There has been some confusion about DuckDuckGo's new browser. It's based on Microsoft's webview2, which is based on Google's Android webview for Android. So it is Chromium, without being chromium. It probably has lots of spyware, full of bugs and most of all, not trustworthy as it comes from Microsoft. Don't get me wrong, I will use and did use their office suite and operating systems, and still feel their operating systems are the best for computers for the time being. I can't stand Apple. But web browsers? Hell no.

If you're concerned with privacy, switch to a Mozilla/Firefox based browser and use a good PAID VPN. Free VPNs usually still sells your analytics to fund their operations. Stay away from Chinese made and Chromium based browsers. There are many good low-priced VPNs on the play store. Goooooogele is evil. I go 3rd party on their OS whenever possible. Don't get me wrong, I feel that the Android OS and the Chrome OS is light years ahead of anything Apple could put out. More Stable on Mobile devices than anything Microsoft could put out, but Microsoft rules the desktop realm. But would like to see Linux/Debian take that over.
