Prometheus is one of my favorite movies ever. I probably have seen it dozens of times, along with its sequel "Alien: Covenant." In one of the scenes, the crew wakes up the alien from a deep slumber that lasted thousands of years so the billionaire who funded the space mission can ask the alien to make him immortal. The alien titan, who towered over everyone in the room, recognized the humans, but he was surprised to see them in his presence. It only took him a couple of minutes of observing everything happening in that room to know what humanity is all about, and he didn't like what he saw. They woke up a God, who's hundreds of thousands of years old, and they immediately showered him with their demands: "I NEED TO KNOW WHY" and "MAKE ME IMMORTAL." Undaunted, the titan proceeds to massacre everyone in the room as he boards his ship heading to Earth to completely annihilate the human race from existence. Although it remains unclear why the aliens were planning to eradicate humanity, one theory is that after observing humankind for hundreds of millennia, the aliens were shocked at how violent and self-absorbed their seedlings have become.
