New California Law Beginning in 2027 Makes It Legal to Turn Human Remains Into Compost
As an alternative to cremation, allegedly to help fight climate change, in 2027 decomposing humans can be used as compost. https://bit.ly/3DSCMGC
Signed into law by Newsom this week, the process involves:
- Placing the body inside a long, reusable steel container with wood chips and flowers for aeration.
- Approximately a month later, thanks to the microbes, the body will be turned into soil.
The law doesn't address the sale of this soil or its use in the garden.
Calif. joins Washington, Oregon and Colorado who have all legalized composting of human remains.
Colorado does permit this soil to be sold or used for food growing.
Guess that tells us what they have planned for humanity in the coming months and years.
Uh, you know that pesky neighbor you never liked? Perhaps, they can be made useful after all.
