We are heading into communism by way of socialism.  The left wants as many people in this country as possible so that people become reliant on the government.  Taxes are taken from citizens to give to non-citizens.  The government becomes more powerful. The student loan decision is a socialist decision.  It is taking money from all to pay for some.  Only a small group benefits, but the elite universities become richer and will not lower their tuition because they know the money will keep coming. They will then try to make college "free", only everyone , even those that don't attend will be paying for it by way of taxes.
