The Yeti, also known as Abominable Snowman, is an ape-like being originating from Nepalese/Himalayan folklore. It is a type of cryptid creature that is known to the people of Bhutan, Nepal, and other countries around the Himalayan Mountains.

Yetis are supposedly 200-400Ibs, around 7-8ft tall, with a mouth full of long sharp fangs. They are covered in reddish-brown hair/fur, though their hair often looks white/frozen from the snow. The yeti is akin to our Bigfoot in the United States.

The yeti only lives at very high altitudes in the Himalayan Mountains where there is always snow on the ground, and they do not like to be seen by humans.

Many of the folktales of the Yeti claim they caused a plethora of problems for the villagers who lived around them. In one particular folktale, "Annihilation of the Yeti", the villagers were tired of being tormented by the Yetis and set up a plan to eradicate the creatures. Their plan was to lure the Yeti's out of hiding with rice beer that the villagers called chyang and once the Yeti's were intoxicated, they would kill them all! The villagers plan failed when they got drunk and instead fought each other while the Yetis watched. When the villagers left the Yetis came out and drank the rest of the chyang and made fun of the villagers. As the Yetis drank and got more intoxicated, they started fighting each other to the death. Only the Yetis that realized what was happening survived. Angry about what had happened, they retreated high up into the mountains, far away from humans, they consider the villagers their enemies.
