Canadian PM Trudeau Rescinds His Controversial Emergency Act After his military armored police and jackbooted UN thug force cleared Ottawa of the truckers convoy and protestors, PM Trudeau felt the situation in Canada was no longer an emergency. Trudeau said in a televised news conference: “The situation is no longer an emergency. Therefore, the federal government will be ending the use of the Emergencies Act. Meanwhile, the Canadian Civil Liberties Assn announced last week that it will be suing Trudeau for invoking the Emergencies Act claiming the legal standard of national emergency had not been met. Trudeau claims the protests cost Ottawa $800,000 a day and snarled cross-border trade with the U.S. worth up to $350 million a day. These economic impacts are what drove him to invoke the act.
