Women like to poke fun at married men that go through a "midlife crisis". Because most of them simply can't relate to waking up one day and realizing, that at least half your life was spent working to making sure the family had what they needed.

Denying yourself stuff that you wanted, could have afforded probably, but said nah, I will wait until this or that is paid for first. It goes by fast, then it's like shit, I earned myself something nice, and damn it, I am going to get it finally. Can't wait forever.
