What medical choices should you and I make as Christians? We’re in a very nosey and anxious age. Whether politely or angrily, we’re being pressured to make certain calls about our health.
We should reject such pressure. On these tough questions, we think hard, we listen well, we act humbly—and we are from soup to nuts free, 100% free, to make our own biblically-shaped medical decisions as citizens & as Christians.
I repeat myself: 100% free, with no condemnation, pressure, or guilt from any side. We don’t live in fear as believers. God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We don’t fear man; we don’t fear fellow believers; we live in reverent trust of God, following his Word, and we enjoy liberty of conscience on many matters. (Our conscience is always shaped by biblical truth, we note.)
Freedom is beautiful! Enjoy yours today. You are an adult; you are a believer (if indeed you are). You are in control of your body, and no one else; you are owned by God, and God holds you responsible for your bodily stewardship. Don’t live in condemnation or anxiety; live in freedom, and make your own decisions. Full stop.
