Ever Heard of FASAB 56? A Little Known Accounting Loophole That Allows Government Agencies and Contractors to Hide Public Money

Catherine Austin Fitts, Solari Report, who worked in the first Bush administration, reported on the FASAB 56 accounting rule which was passed in 2018 in the Trump administration.

It is a little known accounting rule which allows government agencies and contractors to hide public money off their books allegedly for national security confidentiality.

In working with Dr. Skidmore, Chair of State and Local Govt. Policy at Michigan State U., Fitts identified $21 Trillion off the books adjustments from 1998-2015, roughly equivalent to the national debt at the time.

Any private agency doing this would be thrown off the stock exchange says Fitts. Not the government however.

P.S. - Never did trust former Goldman Sachs Steve Mnuchin as Sec of the Treasury. I think my instincts were correct.
