Started up a conversation with a woman I usually wave to as she would pass by everyday in the park. I mentioned how I was so tired of all this lockdown madness, and just want things to go back to normal so we can get our lives back. She then told me that wasn't going to happen, that this is the "new normal". I was going to head the same way as her along the path so asked if she minded that I walk with her. She said fine, but since I'd mentioned that I hadn't been vaccinated, I'd have to stay 6 feet away. I let her know that I didn't have covid, that I had been tested numerous times coming up negative. Didn't even bring up the fact that I'd had covid symptoms of fever, lost taste, weakness last year, and recovered. Thinking I have immunity. She said it didn't matter, that she would only get close to people who'd had the shot. To her credit, at least she wasn't wearing a mask. But the whole thing was such a turnoff. Another instance of it being very difficult in this environment to start up new relationships with the opposite sex.
