LATER ON, RENAMED THE PROVINCE OF JUDEA AS "PALESTINE", NAME RELATED TO THE PHILISTINES, ANCIENT ENEMIES OF ISRAEL. THE RELIGION OF ISLAM WAS BORN IN ARABIA IN THE 7th CENTURY OF THE CHRISTIAN ERA. SOON ISLAM STARTED CONQUERING NEW LANDS AND BECOMING AN EMPIRE. THEY DIDN'T PREACH THE NEW RELIGION BUT RATHER CONQUERED WITH "THE EDGE OF THE SWORD" AND IN EVERY LAND THEY CONQUERED, THEY BUILT MOSQUES AS SYMBOL OF THE CONQUEST. IN JERUSALEM THEY BUILT TWO MOSQUES ON TOP OF WHERE THE TEMPLE WAS BEFORE BEING DESTROYED BY THE ROMANS. PALESTINE WAS NEVER A COUNTRY BUT A NAME FOR A FORMER ROMAN REGION. FAST FORWARD TO THE 20th CENTURY. THE OTTOMAN (ISLAMIC) EMPIRE WAS DEFEATED IN WORLD WAR ONE AND THE REGION OF "PALESTINE" WAS ADMINISTERED BY THE BRITISH UNDER A BRITISH MANDATE. THE BRITISH DECIDED TO MAKE A PARTITION OF THE LAND BETWEEN JEWS AND ARABS. FROM THE JORDAN RIVER TO EAST FOR THE ARABS AND FROM THE JORDAN RIVER TO THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA FOR THE JEWS. ISRAEL DECLARED INDEPENDENCE AND WAS RECREATED IN 1948. "FROM THE RIVER TO THE SEA PALESTINE WILL BE FREE", MEANS NO ISRAEL AT ALL. RIGHT AFTER INDEPENDENCE, ISRAEL WAS ATTACKED BY THE ARABS THAT TOOK LANDS TO THE WEST OF THE JORDAN RIVER, INCLUDING THE AREAS KNOWN AS JUDEA, SAMARIA AND THE EASTERN PART OF JERUSALEM WHERE THE TEMPLE WAS. THAT AREA WAS UNDER JORDANIAN CONTROL. GAZA WAS NOT ISRAEL BUT UNDER EGYPTIAN SOVEREIGNTY. IN 1967, FIVE ARAB COUNTRIES ATTACKED ISRAEL AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME ISRAEL WON THE WAR IN 7 DAYS, RECOVERING JUDEA, SAMARIA AND THE WHOLE OF THE CITY OF JERUSALEM. ISRAEL TOOK THE SINAI PENINSULA AND GAZA FROM EGYPT. IN 1979, ISRAEL SIGNED A PEACE AGREEMENT WITH EGYPT, GIVING BACK TO EGYPT THE SINAI PENINSULA AND GAZA. EGYPT TOOK THE SINAI PENINSULA BUT ABOUT GAZA THEY SAID "NEVER MIND, YOU CAN KEEP IT, WE DON'T WANT IT, WE DON'T NEED IT". THE ARABS IN GAZA WERE AS TROUBLEMAKERS AS THEIR PHILISTINE ANCESTORS. IN 2005, ISRAEL PULLED COMPLETELY OUT OF GAZA AND GAVE IT TO THE AUTONOMOUS 'PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY' BUT SOON, THE RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORIST GROUP 'HAMAS', KICKED THE PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY OUT OF GAZA AND TOOK CONTROL, IN FACT CREATING A TERRORIST ENCLAVE BORDERING ISRAEL. LOTS OF ROCKETS ATTACKS CAME OUT OF GAZA BUT USUALLY STOPPED BY THE 'IRON DOME' DEFENSE SYSTEM BUT ON OCTOBER 7/2023, THOUSANDS OF HAMAS TERRORIST CROSSED THE BORDER FENCE AND ATTACKED CIVILIANS WHO WERE MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESSES IN THE ISRAELI SIDE, KILLING MANY AND TAKING HOSTAGES.
